BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Melanie began her professional life in London as a management consultant at Marakon Associates, where she acquired core skills she applies on a daily basis, including structured thinking, rigorous analysis and complex problem solving. She then embarked on a career in wealth management and spent over a decade as a senior private banker at UBS and Deutsche Bank, where she specialised in looking after Family Offices and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. In 2014 Melanie was appointed CEO of the Freelands Foundation, setting up and running an arts charity with its founder Elisabeth Murdoch. Following an exciting seven years in the post, Melanie decided to begin her independent consulting career in 2022, and based on growing client demand, she founded Green Cedar Consulting in 2024.
Melanie holds an MBA from INSEAD in France, a Master’s Degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, which is where she grew up. Melanie speaks English and French fluently and has varying levels of proficiency in Italian, Spanish and Hebrew.
Melanie is currently the co-Chair of the charity Long Covid SOS, and she is a founding member of Impact100 London which supports marginalised women and girls in London.
